Aareböötle from Thun to Bern - Everything you need to know
Boating on the Aare between Thun and Bern is one of the most beautiful summer adventures in Switzerland. Whether alone, with friends, or with family—here you can find out everything you need to know about the tour!
The route: From Uttigen to Bern
Our classic Aare boat trip route does not start directly in Thun, but in nearby Uttigen – just a 5-minute train ride from Thun. Starting in Uttigen offers many advantages: less traffic, direct access from the train station, and the option of starting below or above the wave.
From here, you can relax for around 2.5 hours as you drift towards Bern. Along the way, you'll find meadows, small beaches, and fantastic views. The exit is located at Camping Eichholz, which has excellent public transport links and is close to the city.
