For inquiries regarding the protection of your personal data, you can contact the above-mentioned office in writing, by telephone or by e-mail.

Personal data

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person. This includes, for example, your name, your telephone number, your address and all inventory data that you provide to us when registering and creating your customer account. This does not include statistical data or anonymized data that cannot be directly linked to your person.

Legal basis and purposes of data collection

We process your personal data primarily to fulfill contractual obligations and to fulfill legal obligations imposed on us. In addition to the aforementioned legal bases for data processing, we also process data on the basis of our legitimate interests. In particular, we pursue economic, legal and idealistic interests, especially the optimization of our online offer and our web presence. The collection and processing of this data serves the purpose of enabling the use of our website (connection establishment), ensuring system security and stability in the long term and optimizing our Internet offering as well as pursuing internal statistical purposes. The IP address and country are only analyzed in the event of attacks on the website's network infrastructure and for statistical purposes.

Newsletter

After booking with us, you are automatically registered for our newsletter. However, you can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in the newsletter. Your e-mail address will be used for our own advertising purposes after registration until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Unsubscribing has no influence on processing operations that took place before you unsubscribed. We reserve the right to commission third parties with the technical processing of advertising measures and to pass on your data for this purpose.

Passing on

We only pass on your personal data if you have expressly consented to this, if there is a legal obligation to do so or if this is necessary to enforce our rights, in particular to enforce claims arising from the contractual relationship. In addition, we only pass on your data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the contract. For this purpose, we pass on your required data to subsidiaries, transportation companies, banks (see below for Checkfront Inc, Victoria, BC, Canada, and Stripe Inc, San Francisco) and other service providers. These service providers use your data exclusively for order processing and not for other purposes. We are also entitled to pass on your data to external service providers in order to protect your economic, legal and non-material interests (e.g. for marketing purposes or to improve the online offering). We use services provided by Google Inc ("Google Analytics" and "Google Photos"). The data collected in connection with the use of these services may be transferred to servers in the USA. Further information on the data collected and transferred can be found at Google: [Link to Google's privacy policy]

Storage period

We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws or for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. We will block or delete your personal data as soon as it is no longer needed and in any case after the maximum retention period required by law. You can request the deletion of your personal data yourself at any time by sending us a corresponding request to info(at)aareschlauchboot.ch. We will comply with your request immediately, provided there are no other reasons (e.g. legal obligation to retain data) that make further retention necessary.

User rights

Right of withdrawal

If you have given us your consent to process your personal data when using the website or booking events/activities, you can revoke this consent at any time. The revocation can be sent by e-mail or in writing to the contact point specified in section 2. The effects of the revocation are limited to the processing of personal data that may not already be processed without your consent due to legal permissions. The revocation also has no effect on earlier processing operations that were carried out before the revocation.

  • To request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

  • To demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you refuse to delete it and we no longer need the data, but you need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or you have lodged an objection to the processing.

  • To receive your personal data, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request the transmission to another controller.

  • To revoke your consent once given to us at any time.

  • To complain to a supervisory authority.

  • If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation or if the objection is directed against direct marketing.

Data from children

As far as recognizable, we collect, process and use personal data of children only with the consent of their legal representative. Persons under the age of 18 must obtain the permission of their legal representative before providing us with personal data. Therefore, the use of our website by persons under the age of 18 who do not have the consent of their parents is generally not permitted.

Liability for links

We hereby expressly declare that at the time the links were created, no illegal content was recognizable on the linked pages. We have no influence on the current and future design, content or authorship of the linked pages. Therefore, we hereby expressly distance ourselves from all content of all linked pages that were changed after the link was created. This statement applies to all links and references set within our own website. Liability for illegal, incorrect or incomplete content and in particular for damages resulting from the use or non-use of such information lies solely with the provider of the page to which reference is made, and not with the person who merely refers to the respective publication via links.

Use of cookies

To improve our product range, we use so-called "cookies" on our website. A "cookie" is a small text file that is transferred to your computer when you visit our website. A cookie can only contain information that we ourselves send to your computer - it cannot be used to read private data. If you accept cookies on our site, we do not have access to your personal information, but with the help of cookies we can identify your computer. No personal data is stored in the cookies used, so we cannot use cookie technology to draw any conclusions about your identity. We use cookies to check whether you comply with our terms of use. We use "session-related", temporary cookies: these do not remain on your computer. If you leave our website, the temporary cookie will also be discarded. With the help of the information collected, we can analyze usage patterns and structures of our website and optimize the website by improving the content or personalization and simplifying use. Cookies are also used by some of our advertising partners (so-called third-party cookies). These cookies help us to tailor our site to the specific needs of our customers, e.g. by displaying advertisements that may actually interest you. By using these cookies, we receive information about which products you have viewed or searched for or which pages you have previously visited. These cookies are stored on your hard disk and delete themselves after a certain period of time. No personal data is stored in the cookies used by our advertising partners either. Their use is pseudonymized so that no conclusions can be drawn about your identity. Most browsers (e.g. Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.) accept cookies by default. You can allow or prohibit temporary and permanently stored cookies independently of each other in the security settings. However, we would like to point out that certain functions on our website will not be available to you and some websites may not be displayed correctly if you deactivate cookies. The data stored in our cookies will not be linked to your personal data (name, address, etc.) without your express consent.

Social plugins

Social plugins from the following social networks are used on our website:

Facebook (Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA)
Google+ (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA)

When you access one of our web pages that has an activated plugin, a connection is established to the servers of the provider of the respective plugin. Content is loaded from the provider's servers and information is transmitted to the provider. This information includes, for example, your IP address and the information about which page you have just accessed. This happens regardless of whether you are logged in to the respective social network or not. If you are logged in to the relevant network at the same time, the respective provider can identify you as a specific user because your user ID is then recorded in addition to the address of the website visited, the date, time and browser-related information. Logging out of the relevant network may prevent the data from being assigned to your user account. Alternatively, you can also prevent the transfer of data to the network by using special browser add-ons (e.g. Facebook blockers). If you recommend content with the help of the activated plug-ins, for example by clicking a "Share" button, the corresponding information is transmitted directly to the respective social network and also stored there. The data collected by the provider can be used to create user profiles. For more information on the collection and use of data by the providers of the plugins and on your rights and options for protecting your privacy in this regard, please refer to the respective data protection notices for Facebook and Google+.

Amendments

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time. If you are affected by a change to the privacy policy, we will inform you of such a change in an appropriate form. This privacy policy does not establish any contractual or other formal legal relationship with or on behalf of any party.
