Our history: From our origins to aareschlauchboot GmbH

Before we launch our platforms at aareschlauchboot.ch , we shaped river culture in the Bernese Oberland for almost two decades with various pioneering brands. Here is our journey:

• The foundation (before 2007): Our founders Neil and Markus gained years of experience as expert rafting guides with certifications in river rescue and safety management.

• 2007 – The beginning: Neil Parmenter started the first big tubing trend on the Aare River when he founded Aaretubing. At that time, we were the only ones in Europe offering professional river tubing.

• 2010 – Specialization: Neil and Markus founded Ertinger & Parmenter Wassersport to take professional inflatable boat rentals for boating on the Aare to a new level.

• 2013 – SUP pioneers: As founders of SUP Switzerland GmbH, we brought stand-up paddling to Switzerland long before it became a mass sport and imported the first inflatables.

• 2014 – Innovation from Thun: With our Origin Paddleboards brand, we developed and manufactured the world's lightest inflatable SUP boards in our own factory in Thun.

• 2015 – Merger to form aareschlauchboot GmbH: We merged our brands to combine our strengths as leading experts for the Aare river, based in Uttigen.

• The brand aareschlauchboot.ch: To structure our offering even more clearly, we are now bringing our decades of experience (known to many under the platform aareböötle.com) under our main brand aareschlauchboot.ch .

• Uniqueness today: To date, aareschlauchboot GmbH is the only professional provider of original Aaretubing on the Uttigen–Bern route.

• Expansion (2024): We have recently begun to bring our expertise to the Rhine as well. rheinschlauchboot.ch (Stein am Rhein to Schaffhausen).
