This is the second section of the Aare that we offer. It is more relaxed, has fewer visitors and starts on the outskirts of Bern on one side and meanders through the countryside to the other side of the city. Rather than flowing through the centre of Bern, it follows the landscape around it and offers a calming atmosphere to spend a day on the river with family and friends.

So what's it all about?
“Aareböötle” is the world renown boat trip down the wonderful river Aare, loved by thousands of Swiss and tourists alike. This is the lower section of River, the second one we offer. If you are looking for the ‘classic’ section, jump to it here.
Where does the tour start and end?
The tour starts at the new water sports centre in Worblaufen. The final stop is near the TCS Camping Eymatt, just a short bus ride from the centre of Bern. Perfect for a day trip!
Is the tour safe?
Our boats are real adventurers and ideally suited for the Aare. Life jackets, dry bags and a briefing ensure safety and fun. Water can of course be unpredictable, so a minimum age is required and swimming skills are essential.

Organiser cancels?
We only take a break if nature goes crazy (floods, thunderstorms). But a little rain won't stop us! Just give us a call if you are unsure.
Changed plans?
Flexibility is our thing! You can change your plans free of charge up to 48 hours in advance. Further changes? Small fee. Within 48 hours it gets serious: full price. All rules here.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs, cats and crocodiles must unfortunately stay ashore. We love animals, but long boat trips are not for them. We want to avoid stress, because a nervous animal on board can be dangerous.
Who are we?
We have been hiring out water sports equipment on the Aare since 2007: river tubes, SUPs, inflatable boats and our unique "Septipus" boats. In 2018, we opened up the lower Aare between Worblaufen and TCS Camping Eymatt, but paused due to the pandemic and the construction of a new water sports centre in Worblaufen until the reopening in 2024. At the same time, Rheinschlauchboot.ch was created, offering inflatable boats, kayaks and our top service on the Upper Rhine between Stein am Rhein and Schaffhausen.
Just one river?
