Simply pick up your life jacket at the start of your trip and return it to one of our team members at the bottom of the river. Our team is dedicated to providing you with the best service possible, ensuring that you have a hassle-free experience from start to finish.

Lifejacket rental on the Aare river between Thun (Uttigen) and Bern (Eichholz)

 

According to the Navigation Act, a life jacket per person must be carried on the Aare. To ensure safety on the river, we recommend that everyone using the Aare doesn’t just take a life jacket, but wears one.

Those who hire boats, SUP's, river tubes and kayaks from Aareschlauchboot will be provided with complimentary life jackets for all participants. If you come with your own boat, we offer life jackets for hire.

  • Price: CHF 15.- per day.

  • Pick up: Uttigen train station at the CheckIn from Aareschlauchboot between 10:00 and 14:00

  • Return: At the discharge point/ sunbathing lawn, Wabern between 15:00 and 17:00 (Or by arrangement)

  • No reservations possible. We work on the “First come, first served” basis.

A deposit will be charged on collection (CHF 50/piece or a valid passport, ID, driving licence etc.) which will be refunded when the lifejackets are returned.
